Klet Grešna Gorica, owned by the Podboj family, is nestled on the hill of the same name opposite Veliki Tabor Castle. This charming cellar exudes a distinctive rural ambiance enhanced by green meadows and vineyards, offering guests a taste of Zagorje's delights such as homemade cured meats, cheese with cream, cornbread, turkey with mlinci (a traditional pasta dish), and štrukli (cheese pastry).

Collecting old artifacts depicting rural life on the Zagorje hills, the family began decorating the surroundings and the hospitality venue. Using natural materials, they aimed to achieve a recognizable, authentic rural atmosphere. An old barrel once storing 7000 liters of wine is now refurbished into a cozy corner for guests, particularly intriguing for young visitors.

For 20 years, Grešna Gorica has recreated an ambiance reminiscent of the medieval times of the Ratkay Counts of Veliki Tabor, echoing the legend of the tragic love between Veronika Desinićka and Count Fridrik, who secretly met in Grešna Gorica. According to legend, the hill of Grešna Gorica was their forbidden meeting place, earning its name ("Sinful Hill") due to their illicit love and "sin".

The spirit of the medieval Veliki Tabor Castle, with its history and legends, has infused Grešna Gorica due to its close proximity, capturing a romantic aura. Therefore, visitors can experience a part of Croatian and Zagorje history here.
