Lojzekova Hiža is located in the village of Gusakovec, in the picturesque setting of the hilly Hrvatsko Zagorje, nestled in a green valley between Marija Bistrica and Gornja Stubica, just about thirty kilometers from Zagreb. It is an ideal place to relax from the stresses of daily life and enjoy the benefits that the village can offer: an idyllic natural environment, a rich table full of homemade food, local brandy and wine, and numerous amenities provided by the hosts who are engaged in a variety of activities: viticulture, fruit growing, hospitality, and tourism. The restaurant has a capacity of approximately 120 seats. It serves mostly local specialties for which we are widely known. Many of the ingredients are grown on-site.

Lojzekova Hiža blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. It is a wooden single-story house built in the Zagorje style. It offers accommodation in beautifully decorated rooms. The restaurant provides a pleasant ambiance for enjoying traditional, homemade dishes that offer a top-notch gastronomic experience. The food is prepared according to old, carefully preserved recipes. The dishes are so delicious because they are made from naturally grown ingredients. Some of the traditional dishes prepared here include: soup with homemade noodles, roast turkey with "mlinci" (traditional Croatian pasta), homemade bread, and "štrukli" (a type of pastry). These dishes are sure to delight anyone. The restaurant can accommodate 150 guests and is suitable for hosting all types of celebrations: christenings, anniversaries, birthdays, and weddings. If there is a need to accommodate more guests, an outdoor tent can be set up.

With every good meal, a good selection of drinks is necessary. The hosts’ cellar boasts a wide range of homemade wines, along with local brandies, fruit juices, and other beverages. The area around Lojzekova Hiža is rich in historical landmarks. Nearby is Marija Bistrica, a well-known Croatian national shrine with the famous black statue of Our Lady of Bistrica, which has been attracting thousands of pilgrims for centuries. In Gornja Stubica, you will find the old Gupčeva lipa, a protected natural monument, linked to legends about Gubec and the peasant revolt of 1573, as well as the Peasant Revolt Museum. On the Samci hill stands the Oršić family’s nobleman’s castle, built in the second half of the 18th century.
