Tavern Lucija

Family Tavern Lucija, located in Povile, is a story of dedication, love for cooking, and unwavering commitment to quality. It is run by the Mandukić Butković family, and it all began in 1990 when Emilija and her husband Srećko entered the world of hospitality.

After their first steps in a restaurant in the Zagori area and relocating to Novi Vinodolski, they now proudly run Tavern Lucija right by the sea. Their philosophy is simple – only fresh, only local. Fish, shellfish, and prawns on the table come exclusively from the daily catch. If the fish isn’t available that day, it doesn’t appear on the menu. According to them, the freezer plays no role in their kitchen.

The cuisine bears Emilija’s signature, as she spent years creating the menu and adding a personal touch to every dish, even though she is not a professional chef. Today, the kitchen is led by a team that continues to uphold her philosophy, ensuring each plate carries a recognizable combination of creativity and flavor.

Alongside the rich seafood offerings, the grill has a special place – meat dishes are prepared by a master from Leskovac, guaranteeing a true explosion of flavor for barbecue lovers.

Tavern Lucija features a spacious seaside terrace with a capacity of up to 100 guests, while the indoor area accommodates up to 70. The venue is also ideal for intimate celebrations and weddings.

With excellent food, warm service, and a cozy family atmosphere, Tavern Lucija is rightfully considered one of the true gems of local gastronomy.
