Just under ten kilometers from the city of Varaždin, on the road toward Varaždinske Toplice, nestled in the Kneginec vineyards on Banski Vrh, lies Vila Donata. From this location, you can enjoy stunning views of Varaždin, the surrounding hills, vineyards, meadows, clearings, and forests. Once the noble residence of Baron Kussy, it is now the restaurant and guesthouse Zlatne Gorice. The villa is surrounded by its own vineyard, whose delicious juices, as tradition demands, are a must-try in the wine cellar. There, you'll also be offered other specialties, particularly the excellent cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil produced on-site.

The estate offers engaging activities, including a walk around the grounds, a tour of the well-maintained wine trail with 12 stations encircling the vineyard, or simply an enjoyable stroll through the intriguing labyrinth. Visitors particularly delight in the flavors of dishes that have graced the bountiful tables of Varaždin’s citizens and the noble estates of the local aristocracy for centuries.
