The 4th National Days of the Flavors of Croatian Tradition have been announced in Zagreb.

THE 4TH NATIONAL DAYS OF THE FLAVORS OF CROATIAN TRADITION

On Friday, November 17th, the 4th National Days of the Flavors of Croatian Tradition will begin. This event is jointly organized by 12 county tourist boards in collaboration with local restaurateurs who hold the "Flavors of Croatian Tradition" standard.

A press conference was held today at the Zagreb County Tourist Board to mark the occasion. It was announced that 104 hospitality establishments from 12 counties and the city of Zagreb will participate, offering traditional dishes made from local ingredients prepared in traditional ways, as well as those interpreted through modern culinary techniques and presentations. Each restaurant will offer two menus of at least three courses, complemented by a glass of local drink. Prices for these menus range from 10 to 30 Euros, and they will be available from Friday, November 17th, until the first Sunday of December 2023.

During today's event, certificates for the "Flavors of Croatian Tradition" standard were presented to newly joined establishments: Kavana Livadić (Samobor), Stari Puntijar (Zagreb), Kramberger (Krapina), and Domestic House Lola (Vukovar).

Ivana Alilović, Director of the Zagreb County Tourist Board, addressed the audience:
"With great joy and pride, as the host of the 4th Days of the Flavors of Croatian Tradition, the Zagreb County Tourist Board emphasizes the cultural and gastronomic richness of our region. This event, held in over 100 restaurants across 12 Croatian counties, is an opportunity to showcase the diversity and wealth of local, authentic, and traditional cuisines, excellent wines, and domestic agricultural products. We are proud that 12 top-notch restaurants from Zagreb County, bearers of the 'Flavors of Zagreb Region Tradition' standard, are participating in this project. Additionally, this year’s edition is enriched by the addition of four new establishments to the standard, to whom I extend my warm congratulations. We anticipate that the aromas and flavors of our tradition will offer visitors not only a culinary delight but also a unique cultural experience reflecting the authenticity of Zagreb County's cuisine."

Marcel Medak, Director of the Bjelovar-Bilogora County Tourist Board and President of the Project Council, added:
"The goal of this project is to attract all lovers of traditional cuisine to restaurants bearing the 'Flavors of Tradition' label, helping them promote these traditional dishes and preserve them from oblivion. Today, we welcomed four new establishments, which confirms that the project is growing. Currently, almost the entire continental region of Croatia is involved, and we hope even more counties will join in the future."
